DIRECTIONS TO SILSOE and ACCOMMODATION IN SILSOE

Silsoe Research Institute is situated at Wrest Park in Silsoe, Bedfordshire on the A6 between Bedford and Luton. Entry is by a private drive next to Silsoe Church. Visitors' reception is in the Mansion House

By road:
Visitors travelling north on the M1 Motorway should leave at Junction 12 on the A5120. As the road takes you through Westoning, turn right at roundabout by the "The Bell" pub. Follow signs to Greenfield, Flitton and Silsoe.

For those travelling south, leave the M1 at Junction 13 and follow the signs to Ampthill. Take the A507 by-pass to Clophill roundabout ("Flying Horse" Pub), turn right on to the A6, then first right to Silsoe and follow the English Heritage signs to Wrest Park.

By train:
The nearest railway station is Flitwick on the Thameslink line which runs from Brighton to Bedford. Trains run to Flitwick from Kings Cross (Thameslink) in London and Luton and Gatwick airports. Approximate journey times are 2 hours from Gatwick, 1 hour from Kings Cross and 15 minutes from Luton.

Taxis are usually available at the station and the journey time is 10-15 minutes.
